Meggan Christman Schilkie, MBA

Meggan Schilkie is currently a Vice President for the Northeast Region of Health Management Associates, a national healthcare consulting firm dedicated to serving the highest need populations. Meggan helps clients including providers, government agencies, and payers develop innovative behavioral health services and has worked with health homes and other providers around the country to become managed care and value-based payment ready. She helps providers especially navigate Medicaid Reform, consolidation, affiliations and the development of accountable provider networks. She also supports trade associations in several states in navigating the complexities of delivery system reform. Meggan spent 10 years at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In her last role as Chief Program Officer she oversaw $200M of services including the OMH-funded former targeted case management programs, the adult SPOA, treatment, supportive housing, rehabilitation, peer support and crisis services including Parachute NYC. She served as Senior Advisor to five executive deputy commissioners for mental hygiene responsible for the oversight of the New York City service systems for individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use, and mental illness as well as early intervention for children. She also served as a Legislative Liaison working with elected officials at every level of government on behavioral health policy issues most notably mental health parity and the 9/11 First Responders (Zadroga) bill. Prior to that she was a Policy Advocate fighting for better resources for providers with the Coalition of Behavioral Health. She also currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Venture House, a non-profit behavioral health provider in Queens where she resides. She has a BA from Fordham University and an MBA from Columbia University.
